Abigail Osei

Assistant Vice President and Assistant Corporate Secretary


Dr. Abigail Osei, Assistant Vice President, leads grants management technology, operations, reporting, grantee communications, and assists with due diligence, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. She also serves as Assistant Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors. She joined The Starr Foundation in 2012 as a Grants Assistant. Over the years, she has also served as Associate Program Officer and Director of Program and Grants Administration. Dr. Abigail represents the Foundation on a number of committees for philanthropic organizations, including as a co-chair of the Steering Committee for PEAK Grantmaking’s northeast chapter.

Dr. Abigail has a doctorate in organizational leadership from Columbia International University, and a master of science in organizational leadership from Lehman College. She earned a bachelor of science in international politics and economics from Middlebury College, and a certificate in global philanthropy from the NYU School of Professional Studies.

Born and raised in Ghana, Dr. Abigail and her family emigrated from Ghana to New York City where she supports Ghanaian families in teaching and preserving their language and culture through her bilingual children’s books and lessons. She is a Youth Giving Summit Ambassador at the International Social Impact Institute and a member of the Executive Committee of the Atlantic Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
