Martha Livingston

Senior Vice President and Corporate Secretary


As Senior Vice President, Martha Livingston works closely with the President and the Board to implement the Foundation’s strategic goals and objectives, which includes helping identify funding opportunities, and implementing and managing grants that advance priority areas. She also provides support for grantees and serves as Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors.

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2005, Martha was a Program Officer at the Picower Foundation in New York City. She began her career as an attorney in Washington, D.C., as an Associate at Swidler & Berlin. She later moved to the public sector, first as a Policy Analyst at the U.S. Congressional Office of Technology Assessment, and then as Senior Policy Analyst and Assistant General Counsel at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. She serves on the Board of the Perelman Performing Arts Center.

Martha is an alumna of Duke University, where she graduated cum laude in 1987. She received a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School in 1991.
